Cisco 2801 VWIC Frame Relay Layer 2 problem interface up/down lmi deleted

Hello,

I need a another set of eyes on this issue. I am building a frame relay cloud with a 3725 as the frame relay switch, 2 2691 as remote sites and 1 2801 as the other remote site. The 2691s are working and connected but the 2801 interface stays in an up/down state, LMI status is deleted and the LMI debugs just shows DCE LMI timeout on the Frame relay switch. I have swapped cards, cables and even routers. I used the same config on another 2801 and I get equal results. I am running IOS 15.1 on the 2801. Please view the configs attached. I configured the same dlci on a spear interface on a 2691 and it worked I believe there maybe something I need to make this work on the 2801 on 15.1 that I am not aware of.

Please show us serial interface configuration and show frame-relay lmi and show frame-relay pvc

Hi,

Can you please provide output of "show controller" of all devices.

Editted: Also, as of now most of your config looks correct. Can you check/swap cable just to make sure that cables are not at fault.

Smitesh

FYI... I have added Netwok-clock-select to BR1 and HQ routers and controllers are crispy clean, I have also swapped cards, cables and this is the second 2801 I have tested. Thanks for your help.

Thanks to everyone for assisting.

I have found and resolved the problem. The cisco 3725 and 2691s apparently use 56k timeslots and the 2801 use 64k slots. So on the cisco 3725 controller I entered channel-group 1 timeslots 1-24 speed 64. The "speed 64" is necessary to match the 2801.

Nice!!

I had the same problem and then I changed the speed to 64 on my 3745 and boom... my frame-relay interfaces came up!!! Thank you very much for sharing this information, don't know if I could have done it with this...

Thanks for bringing this thread back to life Rashad!  I  have been wrecking my brain on this one for a while now with my 3725.
