CISCO 2811 with WIC-1T card detecting the RS530 cable as DTE 530idb

Hi All,

I am facing the problem as my CISCO router is detecting the RS 530 DCE cable as DTE 530idb. I am using this cable for X25 link connectivity. The same cable has worked for more than 1 hour with detecting the cable type as 530 DCE, but suddenly it stops the X25 data transfer. After that the cable type it is showing as DTE 530idb.

Below troubleshooting already carried out.

1. Changed the slot, but same output.

2. Removed the cable & reconnected, but same output.

3. Without connecting to the DTE device also, the cable type is showing as DTE 530idb.

Hi Nirmal,

The routes side of the cable should always be DTE, and the other end of the connection should be DCE
