Can a cable line (not a T-1 or DSL) be used with the 2811? Thanks.

Yes, exactly. You must communicate the MAC address of the device to the ISP and they have to add it into their provisioning platform.

Bes sure to ask your cable provider if they support customer-supplied CPE devices.

Just want to make sure I understand. The cable comes straight into the 2811, bypassing the cable modem provided by the ISP. That's why you added the comment about customer-sipplied CPE devices?
