Hi,

sh diag output showing below error.

WIC module not supported/disabled in this slot.

So if it is supported on this platform kindly insert in another slot and check.

Regards # Mahesh

I have installed on another slot found same problem.

Can you please advice the Interface Module supported by cisco 2821 Router.

Thanks,

Saroj

You've got the wrong IOS.  You need an IOS with the "T" train.

if i upgrade the IOS  of T will the interface  work ?

If you upgrade to an IOS with the "T" train, your interface will be detected by the router.

Can you please provide me the Exat ios ver.

Can you please   provide me the Exat  ios ver.

Go to the Cisco Download site and look under the 12.4T category.  Choose the IOS of your choice from this category.

Thanks for the support I will use another IOS as my Router has 64 mb.

The IOS I Will use ---c2800nm-advsecurityk9-mz.124-24.T6.bin which is 36MB.

But my Router has free space only 5775360 bytes available so how to upgrade ?

simply type "yes" when you see prompt:

"Erase flash: before copying? [confirm]" y

It will erase flash and make space for new IOS.

BR,

Jacek

I don’t get the option Erase Flash :before Copying .

Get the Error : %Error copying ftp://****:****@122.168.191.87/c2800nm-advsecurityk9-mz.124-24.T6.bin (Not enough space on device)

Please advice other options…..

The other option is to manually delete the existing image from flash and then copy the new image into flash.

I have done this many times and it works. Note that there is a potential problem with doing this - if the router were to reload for some reason after you have manually deleted the existing image and before the download of the new image has completed then the router will not have an image to boot. This is not likely but you do need to be aware of the possibility in deciding whether you want to use this option.
