CISCO 2921 to Level3 Fast E, download speed is low

Our ISP is Level3 and we have 100Mpbs Fast E line.

However, with various speed testing tools, we never got better that 20Mbps download speed.

Upload speed is usually better than download speed.

Also, using Level3 suggested testing tool: testmy.net, upload is almost 4 times faster that download speed.

Per Level3, we hard code our router interface speed to 100, duplex to full.

Appreciate any opinions or past experiences.

Can you double check that your interface is really 100/full? If you have it specifed and they don't, it will negotiate at half duplex. Also, do you have any rate policies on the interface or anything in front of your router like a packetshaper, load balancer, etc?

show interface displays that the interface is running Full-duplex, 100Mb/s. The router is directly connected to Level3 demarc point, not rate policies on the interface.

I was primarily looking for crc errors on the interface which you don't have. It sounds like you need to go back to the provider and explain the situation. From your output above, I don't see any issues. What about the system that you were doing the speed test from? Is there any other equipment between this router and the switch that your workstation was connected to like a Packetshaper or load balancer of some sort?

We have 50 MB Link , We Have tested the Link on PC then it's getting full downloading speed (50 MB)  but Via router it's not getting Full speed (32 MB)..

Please suggest !

The provide reboot their end of switch already.

The provider is telling the same story, not seeing any issues! But we purchased 100Mbps line, we get slow download speed no matter what. Thanks for you input.

Might be the workstation configuration.

Can you connect a workstation directly to the handoff from L3 and test that way? would rule out anything on the router.
