Frnds,
I am using 3550 with c3550-ipservicesk9-mz.122-44.SE6.bin. Have successfully run ipv6 commands on global and interface, however getting below error while configuring "ipv6 router ospf 1" :
SW1(config)#ipv6 router ospf 1
% Failed to create routing protocol ospf
Command syntax help says its configurable but its not configuring ipv6 OSPF.
SW1(config)#ipv6 router ?
eigrp Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
ospf Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
rip IPv6 Routing Information Protocol (RIPv6)
pls suggest.

Hi,
have you entered ipv6 unicast-routing ?

yes, following commands are already running:
SW1(config)#ipv6 unicast-routing
SW1(config)#int vlan 1
SW1(config-if)#ipv6 address abc::/64 eui-64
and check this:
W1(config-if)#ipv6 ?
IPv6 interface subcommands:
address Configure IPv6 address on interface
authentication authentication subcommands
bandwidth-percent Set EIGRP bandwidth limit
eigrp Configure EIGRP IPv6 on interface
enable Enable IPv6 on interface
hello-interval Configures EIGRP-IPv6 hello interval
hold-time Configures EIGRP-IPv6 hold time
mtu Set IPv6 Maximum Transmission Unit
nd IPv6 interface Neighbor Discovery subcommands
next-hop-self Configures EIGRP-IPv6 next-hop-self
policy Enable IPv6 policy routing
redirects Enable sending of ICMP Redirect messages
rip Configure RIP routing protocol
split-horizon Perform split horizon
summary-address Summary prefix
traffic-filter Access control list for packets
unnumbered Preferred interface for source address selection
verify Enable per packet validation
Note: OSPF is missing here
But:
SW1(config)#ipv6 router ?
eigrp Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
ospf Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
rip IPv6 Routing Information Protocol (RIPv6)
However:
SW1(config)#ipv6 router ospf 1
% Failed to create routing protocol ospf

Hi,
if you can't enable OSPFv3 on an interface then it means that it is not supported.
Regards.
