You've got to be joking right?  VSS on a 3850?

Stacking comes natively with 3850 and you want to do VSS?  You're "re-inventing the wheel".

Then you can use the 4500-X.  ;)

Not sure what all the new Catalyst 9K series supports beyond stacking similar to Catalyst 3Ks.

Only the 9500 will support Stackwise Virtual. 

9400 will support VSS.

Only the WS-C3850-48XS can support Stackwise Virtual.  No other models can.
