when i start the switch 4948 and access via console the switch4948 is directly going in rommon 1 >

Hi,
please log the booting process in a file & paste here to check the exact reason, generally it happens when device don't have any IOS file or IOS file is corrupt or somehow device not able to load the IOS in the DRAM.
