On the 6500 it is the supervisor that supports NAT not the individual modules.

2 48 48-port 10/100/1000 RJ45 EtherModule WS-X6148A-GE-TX

Thanks for the Info. I want to terminate 3 ISPs into Cisco 6509-E.
Physically how can I do that?
Previously I am using a Cisco 3750. All ISPs are going to Switch-ports then connected with router via Sub-Interfaces.

I am new to Cisco 6509-E.

One more thing I want to know how can I check if switch is working fine? We are planning to purchase it.

Hello @Hamidsattarrana ,

just to add to Jon's answer you configure NAT on SVI interfaces , this becomes an action in the TCAM table.

Being the Cat6500 a distributed platform the supervisor buid the master copy of TCAM table and then sends it to the line cards that have a CFC or DFC module.

in your case the linecard 6148 is likely able to connect only to 32 Gbps the shared bus

usually the linecards for sup720 should be something like 6xab  with x=7 or x=8 these ones are the best as they can host the DFC and have a local copy of the TCAM table.

So I would put users on linecard 6148 and servers on linecard 6748

Hope to help

Giuseppe
