Delete a file: delete /f /r flash:filename.ext

File system is not ready to use.
Please reset before access file system
rommon 2 > dir

File system is not ready to use.
I tried it, and this is displayed:

Please reset before access file system
rommon 3 > flash:

monitor: command "flash:" not found
rommon 4 > dev
Devices in device table:
id name
flash: flash

And when I tried to tftpdnld command nothing happened; maybe I make mistake, but i did set environment like this:

rommom 1> IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.2
rommon 2> IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
rommon 3> DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
rommon 4> TFTP_SERVER=192.168.1.1
rommon 5> TFTP_FILE=c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin

after that nothing...

A moment ago I tried and:
rommon 8 > IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.2
rommon 9 > IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
rommon 10 > DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
rommon 11 > TFTP_SERVER=192.168.1.1
rommon 12 > TFTP_FILE=c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin
rommon 13 > tftpdnld
Please reset before executing this command
rommon 14 >

Am I doing something wrong?

rommon > reset

rommon >IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.2
rommon > IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
rommon  > DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
rommon  > TFTP_SERVER=192.168.1.1
rommon > TFTP_FILE=c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin
rommon  > tftpdnld

Just type a RESET command and configure again the as above details.

Just tried again, only this time with '-r':

DEFAULT_GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1
TFTP_SERVER: 192.168.1.1
TFTP_FILE: c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin
TFTP_DESTINATION: flash:
DOWNLOAD_PORT: 0 (LAN FE 0..3, LAN GE 4 for ADV K9, WAN GE 5)
TFTP_VERBOSE: Progress

TFTP boot exit: File not found
rommon 9 >

And now this:
rommon 9 > tftpdnld -ur

IP_ADDRESS: 192.168.1.2
IP_SUBNET_MASK: 255.255.255.0
DEFAULT_GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1
TFTP_SERVER: 192.168.1.1
TFTP_FILE: c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin
TFTP_DESTINATION: flash:
DOWNLOAD_PORT: 0 (LAN FE 0..3, LAN GE 4 for ADV K9, WAN GE 5)
TFTP_VERBOSE: Progress
Loading 192.168.1.1:c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin ...
Loading failed.:

TFTP load exit: Timeout occured

And:

monitor: command "boot" aborted due to user interrupt
rommon 1 > IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.2
rommon 2 > IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
rommon 3 > DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
rommon 4 > TFTP_SERVER=192.168.1.1
rommon 5 > TFTP_FILE=c860vae-advsecurityk9-mz.152-4.M5.bin

Hi,

Now the issue has changed to "TFTP load exit: Timeout occured"

Is the TFTP server started? Is System Firewall off or TFTP ports allowed?

Does the 860 have a USB port or not?

Yes, there is USB port.
What should I do?
IOS is on USB also... Is there any requirements regarding USB?

Stick the USB flash drive into the router's USB port. Issue the command "dir usbflash0:".
If the contents appear, then use the command "boot usbflash0:IOS_filename.bin" to boot the file.

Nothing unless later
Somehow I find out to input confreg 0x0, and after that all commands(dir, boot, etc) worked

Thank You very much...
This was a long fight...
later today I intend to change IOS on another Router since We had two with corrupted IOS

Had the same problem, and can confirm this solved it.

Hi,

Do you have a valid Image in the TFTP server root (Home) directory?
