cisco 881G-K9 licensing question

Hi I've been already purchased current cisco device (881g-k9)

my vendor told me that there is possible to actrivate adipservices license on this router (i need encryption).

i'm waiting now for license from my vendor

but for now i tried to activate  trial  adv_IP lic and got no success on it.

So question is there possible to activate AdvancedIpServices license on this router?

IOS version : C880DATA-UNIVERSALK9_NPE-M

CISCOROUTER# show license feature

Feature name             Enforcement  Evaluation  Subscription   Enabled

advipservices_npe       yes          yes         no             yes

As I know NPE = No Payload Encryption.

Also I got info that there is neccessary to change IOS and only after it I can activate license? is it correct way ?

Can I lose warranty if I change IOS ??

Yes, you can activate a trial a license.

You don't need to change image, but it's always good practice to update.

i tried to install license regarding the steps provided by email from cisco using the IOS command line interface (CLI) .

everything seems fine. I reboot router and nothig happens I can't see AdvancedIPSerivces license usign  "show license feature" command.

Also all vpn/encryption features are not accessible usign Cisco Configuration Proffesionals.

I'm doing something wrong??

the "NPE" in IOS image name makes me think that it's not possible to activate such license on "NPE" IOS...

I tryed to activate license regarding to :

but no success I try to run command:

license boot module c880-data level advipservices

make write , but in  conf I can see that still npe licemnse installed:

license boot module c880-data level advipservices_npe

Also in the cisco license activation guide specified next statement:

"universalk9_npe—does not support VPN payload and secure voice functionality and satisfies import considerations for CIS countries."

this means that I can;t activate AdvIPSvcs license on my router ????? but my vendor told me that i can....
