Hi All,

Is there any command for snmp to send traps when temperature raise or fall from defined threshold on ASR100 series router? or Is this something happen by default by enabling 'snmp-server enable traps alarms' command?

hello,

you should have the following Mibs enabled in order to access hardware monitoring info via SNMP:

  • ENTITY-MIB, RFC 4133 (required for the CISCO-ENTITY-ALARM-MIB and CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB to work)
  • CISCO-ENTITY-ALARM-MIB
  • CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB (for SPA and transceiver environmental alarm information, which is not provided through the CISCO-ENTITY-ALARM-MIB)

The old CISCO-ENVMON-MIB has been replaced by these Mibs for ASR1000 platform.
