Cisco hardware/product number naming convention

Hello,

Can anyone tell me whats the naming convention for product number for example

X2-10GB-LX4

MEM-XCEF720-512M

BF-S720-64MB-RP

or point me to a doc that explains the same.

There is no documented naming convention and no centralized decision.

Cisco does what seems logic and understandable.

Then if you can see a meaning in it, even better.
