Cisco ISRG2 HWIC Routed Ports Limitation

Hi Everyone,

For an ISRG2 Cisco Routers HWIC Cards, are they limited by the respective number of supported HWIC slots or by the number of routed ports they will provide?

Based on my research, a Cisco 2911 has four (4) HWIC slots, but It can only support two (2) HWIC-2FE or four (4) HWIC-SFP-CU. With HWIC-2FE, I can have a total of 7 Routed Ports, including the integrated routed ports of the Router and six (6) routed ports if I use four HWIC-SFP-CU.

So, what if I need 8 Routed port using 2911? Can I use two (2) HWIC-2FE and add one (1) HWIC-SFP-CU?

I have the same issue. I think all of the 29xx series are the same way. If the 29xx cannot support what router do you guys recomend?
