cisco with fxs port

Hello,

I have a pretty much confusing situation. I am living in Greece (unfortunately) were technology is 20 years late.

Our providers lately embed Telephony with Internet (for cost purposes) so the phone basically connects to FXS port behind a basic router to work.

Now this situation is not very flexible as when we are trying to put Voip Centers with cisco equipment (we are bying mostly 800series) the phones simply do not work.

Now I am wondering (although I haven't heard of anythign like that) if there are any equipment by Cisco 800series with FXS ports to pass the VOIP from the router so we can install Voice Centers with Cisco GW and not the GW given by providers (which are plastic cheap equipment with basic configs)

If there are such equipments can someone share a site on how to config the fxs port?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

both the C881SRST and C888SRST have 4 FXS ports and 1 voice backup port. You could get the SPA8800 IP Telephony Gateway, which has 4 FXS ports.
