cisco1841 ASSERTION FAILED: file

hallo,

I have a new cisco1841 ISR router with WIC-1T and WIC-1-B-S/T-V3, ios 12.4(1a) ip-base.

It shows continuosly in console the message:

*Jan 3 17:15:35.611 UTC: ASSERTION FAILED: file "../chips/gt96k/gt96k_timer.c", line 771

I tried another new cisco1841 with same hw and ios give me the same message.

Anyone know what does that message mean ?

there is an IOS bug that might apply to you:

Symptoms

A router may show following error message:

ASSERTION FAILED: file "../chips/gt96k/gt96k_timer.c"

Conditions

The error message is shown when "isdn leased line bri x/y"

is configured on a wic-1bri-s/t card located on wic slot0.

Workaround

Move the card to a slot other than slot0.

Can you verify the above ?

hallo, there is a wic-1B-S/T-V3 in SLOT1

in SLOT0 there is a wic-1T.

could it be a new bug ?

I ´ve a new 2801 with 2 dsl and 1 ISDN s/t v3

and my IOS is IPBASE too.

I ´ve the same problem

If you debug ISDN all events you can see that when i pu the ISDN switch-type the machine respond with this error

*Jan 12 15:36:48.851: ISDN Error: Invalid DSL (0) Q921d: L2_AddTeiCes: dsl_id=0, tei=127, ces=0, chan=0

I´m looking for information about this problem.
