we are currently "investigating" the optimal setup for using Vodafone (DE) LTE in south east Germany to establish a faster internet connection for a customer in a "remote location".
Is there anyone with practical experiences about this kind of setup?
We have chosen the following items:
- 1x CISCO1921-SEC/K9
- 1x EHWIC-4G-LTE-G=
- 1x CAB-L400-50-TNC-N (15m cable)
- 1x ANT-4G-OMNI-OUT-N (omni antennae)
- 1x 4G-AE010-R (antennae stand)
- 1x 4G-ACC-OUT-LA (lightning arrestor)
Since Vodafone at customer site uses 800Mhz spectrum, the antenna has 698-960MHz / 1.5dBi gain.
Question: did anyone set up such a setup yet with Vodafone in Germany? Any hints/clues about caveats? Is there any different antenna with a higher gain (also different vendor, but compatible)?
