Hello,
we're testing a couple of new low-end cisco devices to use at customer sites and found out that the new Cisco886 has no support of PPP multilink, it simply means eg, that we can't use both ISDN chanells.
here is the short output:

we're now in contact with our support partner, but they haven't opened a TAC case yet, they are trying to convince us that this is a normal. Command reference says that (of course) the command "ppp multilink" exists and there is no any hardware restrictions or limitations.
Is it a bug or a feature of cisco886 ?

can you configure "ppp multilink" under the BRI0 interface?

Hello Andrew,
can you configure "ppp multilink" under the BRI0 interface?

Then I would say that the feature is not available - but you can confirm using the Feature Navigator

Hello,
"ppp multilink" is not available als feature for ISDN interface? It simply can't be.
I've checked allready before all Cisco sources and MLPPP is listed as a feature which is available on all platforms. I've tested 881 and 886 with all possible IOS's (12.4T as well) already and on both platform the same problem.

Hello,
Did nobody face such a bug? It's really strange! the cisco800 series is quite popular and there are a lot of routers around the world.
I don't know yet if the case was opened by TAC, service partner didn'T update me yet.

I know this is very old but I ran into the same issue and searched this forum.
Solution is to upgrade license to Advanced IP Services, works fine.
Hope this helps others ...
Michael
