Class-based Accounting

I have configured an accounting functionality on a 7609 sup7203bxl. The accounting is based on the class-base QoS MIB.

I have attached the service policies on several VLAN interfaces, the VLANs go out over the same 10 GE interface.

Question:

What is the byte counter of the MIB showing me? Accounting of pure IP traffic with or without ethernet overhead?

In IP accounting, only transit IP traffic is measured and only on an outbound basis; traffic generated by the software or terminating in the software is not included in the accounting statistics.
