Connecting a WS-C6509-E to C9300-24T

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect a WS-C6509-E, 1000BaseLH GBIC, to C9300-24T, 1000BaseLX SFP, using a single mode fibre.

However, the link is not even coming up as connected. All the basic physical checks have been done.

This isn't the first time this issue has arisen within our department.

Does anyone know if the devices should be compatible?

Is there any specific config that needs to be added to get the link up?

Thanks in advance.Routing

Rather embarrassingly this was just a polarity issue.

Thanks all for your responses regardless.

What happens if both ends "loop" the fibre optic? Does the link go up?

Hello,

i'm working with this two models and both are connected without problem. Could you share your GBIC model and IOS version are you running on both devices?

Can you post more information here :

1. what is the interface config

2. show interface gi 1/1 - interface number

3. have you swapped the tail end connectors to match the light?

4. is this Dark fiber or provider involved?

you mentioned its not first time, what action you have taken to resolve before? how that got resolved?
