Hi
I'm having problems connecting to the console port of a CISCO ISR4321, both USB and RJ45.
The COM port is recognized by Putty but when opening the terminal I am not allowed to enter any input, I have the classic black screen with the green cursor stopped. I am sure that my console cables work since I have tested them with other CISCO equipment with positive results. On Putty I have also tried changing the speed and other parameters but to no avail, what could the problem be due to?
Thanks
Regards
Lorenzo

Console into the router and reboot.
Post the entire boot-up process.

Get a cable for USB mini-Type B and alternativelly use that Port for testing.

Hi Flavio
I also tested the mini-Type B USB cable but with the same result.

So, probably, the router have some problem.

I think so, too. I also tried another new ISR4321 and had the same problem with both mini USB and RJ45. Instead trying with other CISCO equipment I can get in and manage the configurations.

Those 2 4321 are Brand New devices?
If so, maybe It would be recommend RMA

Only one of the two devices is new

Humm...well, I would suspect the PC, driver cable etc because two devices, one new and the other used, with the same problem, not usuall.
Unfortunatelly, access different device is not a perfect prove because some device is different. I face issue with cable connecting to Access Points while I could connect to switch just fine.
Try to console into the 4321, reload it, and share the logs here. Let´s see if something interesting shows up.
