CPU Utilization is High

HI team,

         we are getting high cpu utilization on 2901 router but same configuration while switchover to cisco 2911 router is working fine. Could you confirm any differences are there at throughput level or any other reasons are there Pls suggest on this.

Again, if physical port goes down, because of ISP issue, normal static routing should fail over.

Only when port stays up but you no longer have an end-to-end connection do you need something dynamic, like SLA or a dynamic routing protocol.

Unfortunately, all the networks I've supported generally used a dynamic routing protocol to support fail over situations, so I'm not up on setting up SLA tracking, but they likely should be able to provide what you need.

I try to ask you again in order to troubleshoot High cpu usage

can you post the output of the following command:

show proc cpu sorted 1min | exclude 0.00

to see the TOP CPU users among the processes once you provide that information it is possible to go on with analysis.

About use of both MPLS links I recommend to use a dynamic routing protoco on both routers both sidesl to achieve fault tolerance and load balancing.

There are  a lot of dial-peers configured your issues with C2901 may arise from this area when compared with C2911 rather then from few errors on data interfaces.
