Hello,

I want to creat two virtual routers on my WAN router. One routing table is for LAN routes and other routing table is for WAN routes (ISP BGP routes).

How can i accomplish this task and how both virtual routers (routing table) can communicate?

One thing is want to mention i am not asking about MPLS VRF.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

VRF is the only way to create different routing contexts on one router. In your case we talk about VRF-Lite because the router is not a true PE (no MPLS, no MP-BGP,..)

Also I don't see the advantage of having a LAN and a WAN VRF if you need inter-vrf communication. It will just add complexity to your design.

May be if you elaborate about your requirement, we could help you to find the right solution.

Regards,

Laurent.
