Difference between 6500 and 4500

Dear All,

               I just wanted to know that what are the major differences between CISCO 6500 and 4500 series core switches ?

They cannot use any common hardware components.  (Unlike, for example, 6500 vs. 7600.)

The 6500 family supports service modules, the 4500 family does not.

Beyond that, many, many differences, especially dealing with both families variety of line cards and sups, etc.

Of course, they also share attributes too.

What is the context of this (broad) question? 

This open question will take months to answer.

I mean to say basic differences if asked in an interview ?

I mean to say basic differences if asked in an interview ?

If this is for an interview, why not share what you think the basic difference(s) of a 6500/6800 against a 4500 is?  


This way we can "peer review" the response and (maybe) point out some direction(s) to give more weight and impact to the answer.
