DNS Settings on 2921

Hello!

I have the cisco 2921 configured with 1 trunk port, on which are: LAN, WAN

So, I can't ping from router any resources with domain name, like google.com, cisco.com

but I can ping them's IP and it's success.

What can be with configuratuion, when ping to IP - success, but to domain name - fails ?

There are a couple of things to look at. First, can you ping your dns provider in the image? Also, have you tried changing the primary to another one of google's addresses? (8.8.4.4). Try replacing your 77.232.x.x address with 8.8.4.4 and see if that helps. Do you have any acl's on the wan interface that could be blocking udp traffic for dns or a firewall?

HTH,
John

Hello !

I found, what the error was on 2921.

But know I have an other question.

I have this cisco 2921, and first-connected 2504 with 23 airports.

When I'm in Wi-Fi location, I connect to network, accept the IP, Subnet Mask, GW, DNS..but internet doesn't work.

What can this be ?

Can be this some problems with NAT or anything else.

More than likely it's a nat configuration. Can you post what you have?

HTH,
John

Thank you for the answer. But I resolved this problem. Problem was with NAT, how I said. )

Now I must think, can I update my IOS or not. I have now version 15.2.4 M3.

What version I need to download and flash on cisco ?

Or it is not important, if it works ?
