Cisco 1700 router IOS support jumbo frames.Once you packet is fragment as per the maximum MTU size supported on the router interface it will successfully reassemble at the other end.When a router fragments a packet it adds a pointer to it indicating the left out portion of the packet for reassembling at the other end.
