Hello everyone,
I need to configure fcip tunnels between 2 MDS 9250i, but I have some doubts.
Each device has 2 FCIP interfaces, and it has been decided to assign 4 IP addresses to each device, (2x IPs per fcip interface), don´t ask me why, someone decided to do it this way.....
The addressing in site A is as follows:
IPStorage1/1.1: 192.168.10.10/24
IPStorage1/1.2: 192.168.10.11/24
IPStorage1/2.1: 192.168.10.12/24
IPStorage1/2.2: 192.168.10.13/24
The default gateway is 192.168.10.1
The addressing in site B is as follows:
IPStorage1/1.1: 192.168.20.20/24
IPStorage1/1.2: 192.168.20.21/24
IPStorage1/2.1: 192.168.20.22/24
IPStorage1/2.2: 192.168.20.23/24
The default gateway is 192.168.20.1
And there will be tunnels between:
Site A IPStorage1/1.1 and Site B IPStorage1/1.1
Site A IPStorage1/1.2 and Site B IPStorage1/1.2 ...... and so on.
Here it comes my doubt: I need to stablish static routes on each FCIP router to reach the other one, but as well as the next-hop, it is mandatory to specify the outgoing interface. As the default-gateway is reachable through each and every interface, which one to choose when stablishing the static route?
Can I do as follows, or there is a better way?:
In Site A
ip route 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0 interface IPStorage1/1.1
in Site B
ip route 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 interface IPStorage1/1.1
Thank you!
