Hi,
We have a E1 PRI interface suddenly down.
Here are some show commands:
sh int ser0/0/0:15
Serial0/0/0:15 is down, line protocol is down
Hardware is DSX1
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 64 Kbit/sec, DLY 20000 usec,

Besides, ISDN modem shows DSL and DTE lines as up.
Telco is saying there is an issue on the corporate gateway router. I'm not convinced. I suspect there is a failure on the Telco equipements.
Any idea?

If its not circuit it may be local patch cable or port might gone bad. You could replace the local patch cable with a spare and also you can try hard loop the circuit for port related problem.
Thanks,

A local loop gives me the following output:
E1 0/0/0 is down. (Local Line Loopback) (Line Loop by Remote)
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced

Transmitter is sending remote alarm.
Receiver is getting AIS.
alarm-trigger is not set

It was not a cable issue. The problem was on the Telco side. I told the Telco that I was receiving the AIS alarm and just before I was going to restart the CSU/DSU I saw a change on the LEDs. It seemed that they did something meanwhile.
Thanks

May be Telco has chaged the port..in the log we can able to find Layer1 Deactivated..
So he may suspect due to cable issue.
