Hi all

Any ideas how to get rid of this message

It is happening between a 2600 and a 1600

Also do not want to switch debugging off - just need to stop this eigrp message

Can you please compare the eigrp hello and hold timers on both the peers' interfaces ?

Also, can U try a "sh ip eig nei detail" and check out the columns "Uptime" and "Retries".

Does you physical interface flap frequently on either side ?

Do let us know what you see.

Cheers

Hi,

funny, just had the same problem. Please reboot the router! ('reload' command)

good luck.

This is typically due to uni-directional connectivity between the two routers, possibly due to poor cabling, ACL etc.

Try running through the Neighbor Check section of the Troubleshooting EIGRP document at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/tech/tk365/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094613.shtml#nc

Malcolm,

This shows that you link is flapping between 2600 and 1600. There is some issue duw to whihc the neighbor is going up and down. Either the link is not stable or the router is going up and down. Please check the physical status of the device first and then check the connectivity part.

There could be more reasons like mismatch K-values, mismatch hold/hello time. Make sure that the K-values are same on both the routers otherwise the neighbor adjacency will not form.

regards,

-amit singh
