I was trying to

1) format flash: (many times

2) upload different 12.4T  IOS'es

noting help, every time after reload 871 drops to rommon

I did some googling but nothing interesting was found.

may be it's related to cookie problem but thera no instruction how to fix it

The only way to upload back c870-advsecurityk9-mz.123-8.YI2.bin.

871 starts normally when c870-advsecurityk9-mz.123-8.YI2.bin. inside but it's VERY old IOS and not stable enough.

Hi,

As the message suggests this could be due a bad HW or non Cisco HW in the router. Please raise a TAC case as this

could be due to hw problem or a bug.

Regards.

The hardware may be defective or not genuine Cisco hardware.  Newer software checks for the presence of appopriate Cisco manufacturing information programmed into the router in order to prevent non-Cisco hardware from runnng IOS.  Unfortunately, if the parts are damaged or corrupted in genuine hardware, you will get the same message.

If this is genuine Cisco hardware, you should contact Cisco or your the place where you purchased the unit for replacement or repair.
