I have a simple EVPN based campus LAN (IOS XE 17.6.3) that connects L3 to a legacy network (BGP<>EIGRP redistribution) for migration purposes. I've noticed /32 host routes are being advertised to the legacy network derived from the /24 EVPN VLAN. I understand the BGP route-type 2 routes and the purpose within the EVPN network. I don't understand why both /24 route and /32 host routes would be advertised into the legacy EIGRP network? Is this necessary or what do I need to do to resolve these /32 routes from being advertised?
Thanks in advance for your time!

Hi @edbucher ,
It depends what your bgp to eigrp redistribution looks like. Filtering these routes should be pretty straightforward.

Currently no filters just straight redistribution. So seeing host routes is normal in this scenario? I will filter them out I just wanted to make sure.

Hi @edbucher ,
Yes, seeing the host routes is normal and expected.
