GRE tunnel with HSRP

Hi everyone

I was wondering if it was possible to create a gre tunnel on two routers that are configured with hsrp. Il explain.

Lets say we have three routers, A, B, C. Routers A and B are configured with hsrp between them and they need to talk over a private wan link to router C.

If its possible then, would my source ip address be the virtual hsrp address or the physical ip address given to each routers A and B interface?

Hope I explained this clearly.

Thanks

You would have two tunnels, one A<>C and the other B<>C.  On A and B, tunnel source would be an interface address on the router, which might be the physical interface or a loopback interface.  You would not use a HSPR address for tunnel source.
