Hi everyone,

I have a quick question on Nat Translation.I want to ping From Router 0 to Router 3 by using loopback08.8.8.4.However, I configured the Router 2 as a NAT.

But I want to ping From Router 0 to Router 3 by crossing Router 2..(When I ping with router 1 which has loopback0 8.8.8.8 it's successful. But when I try to ping with Router 3 the result is 0/5 percent. Just wanna know is there anything else I need add to Router 2.(The packet tracer file is attached already hope someone can help me out )thanks!

Hi,

I found the issue in your routing configuration on R1 and R0. Your current configuration is like:

ip classless
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 FastEthernet0/0

But here your FastEthernet0/0 port is connected to an L2 switch (no routing). So traffic is going out on FastEthernet but after that, no route will route so traffic goes dropped.

I added a route on R0 and R1

ip route 8.8.8.4 255.255.255.255 202.120.8.2

It is working fine.

Hi,

I need some information from your side.

1. How to NAT configured on your R2 and R3 router?

2. Share the routing table from R1 and R3

Network Address 202.120.8.0/28

Router 0 (Fa0/0)= 202.120.8.1 255.255.255.240

Router 1 (Fa0/0) = 202.120.8.3 255.255.255.240

Router 2 (Fa0/0) = 202.120.8.2 255.255.255.240

Network Address 172.12.12.0/30

Router 2 (Fa0/1) 172.12.12.1 255.255.255.252

Router 3 (Fa0/0)= 172.12.12.2 255.255.255.252

Router 2 is the NAT router

Router 1 loopback0  8.8.8.8  255.255.255.240

Router 3 loopback0  8.8.8.4  255.255.255.240

So, i want to ping 8.8.8.4 from Router 0

I have tried 8.8.8.8 it works (Router 1)

but when i try with 8.8.8.4 it doesnot work (Maybe something wrong with Nat router (Router 2 ))

The image file is attached....

Hi,

Kindly share the lab file. Can you share the routing table from R1, R3 and nat configuration from R3?

Hello,

post the Packet Tracer project file. Save the project as .pkt, then rename it to .jpg. The system doesn't let you post .pkt files, but it works with .jpg files...
