How can you re-route internet traffic with BGP/MPLS with this setup?

We have a remote site that has a separate internet connection and they have BGP/MPLS connection to our HQ site, when they're internet goes down they are dead in the water.

We would like to re-route there internet traffice when it fails thru the BGP/MPLS connect if there internet goes down?

     Internet----FW----SW---RTR(BGP/MPLS)-----HQ

We have a default static route on the SW that goes directly to FW (0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 FW)

Hello.

There is not enough information, but you could:

  1. configure track object (to check that local internet works fine) and use default gateway with track;
  2. add one more static route over MPLS with higher administrative distance.
  3. make sure, that traffic from Internet cold flow back via MPLS to the site.

Hope this helped.

Can you elaborate more on the "track object"?  can I implement this command line on the switch side?
