How could I see the NAT performed on a router?

Hi all,

I want to performe some tests about NAT features on Cisco 2821.

If the configuration that I report here below, the host with IP address <host_1_on_VLAN_1> creates traffic to an host on outside with a different protocol from the one foreseen in <protocol>  the router doesn't perform the IP translation.
"ip nat inside source static <protocol>  <host_1_on_VLAN_1> <port> <IP_public_ 1_for_NAT> <port>  extendable"
My question is:  How could I verify if the translation is not performed?
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Giuseppe.

Hi,

If you want to check if there's a translation being done or not, you can check the NAT table with the command:   sh ip nat translation

Federico.
