How many unit Racks reach a default stack cable (50cm) at 9200?

I will install new switches 9200 and the vendor design says: 1st switch(1 UR)<-rack cable management(2 UR)-patch pannel(2UR)-rack cable management(2 UR)->2nd switch. I think there are many space, total 6 unit racks and maybe the cable won't reach both switches.

Could you say me how many units racks is possible reach easily one to each other with a default stack cable STACK-T1-50CM (1.64 feet)

I have the same question! Has anyone got any physical switches racked they can confirm how many U can be between each switch?

I see some people saying 3850s - which have Stackwise cables too - saying they are ok with 2U gap between the switches (https://www.reddit.com/r/networking/comments/6itpy2/quick_question_on_physical_3850_stacking/) - ie:

1: <switch>

2: <cable management>

3: <cable management>

4: <switch>

Anyone tried any bigger gaps?

Hi Robdowson,

I deployed it, I share my knowledge in this link:

The maximum is 6 but for reasons of tolerance I think it should be 5RUs

I recon you've got no chance connecting with 6RU gap between the switches using the 50cm cable, there are some pictures in the data-sheet and the installation guide to give an indication of what to expect in terms of the connections (they are not just in a direct straight-line between the sockets).
