What is your objective to do this. Normally you should be able to do this. What IOS and platfrom you are using?

Objective is to apply a route-map to an interface on which hsrp is enabled..

As you know that HSRP would require two interfaces one in Active and the other standby so I was doubtful about the application of route-maps in such a scenarion.

Although it is true that I might have to apply the same route-map on both the Active & Standby interfaces but wanted to confirm whether this action would be correct from the experts on this community.

Well... genrally HSRP peers should have same config so that HSRP is transparent to other devices so your action plan is correct.

You have to apply route map on both to sustain the transparency.
