hsrp time delay

Hi,

I have configured HSRP on my core switches, Cisco 4006,and is working fine, standby taking the role of active is fine without much delay, but as soon as the active is restored there is a delay in time for the standby to recogonise the active ,pls let me know why this delay....my hsrp configs are posted as below.

How much delay are you getting. Is it the same delay every time the changeover happens or does it vary with each instance?

as per ur configuration...you should put "standby 1 preempt" to ur switch 1 also.....
