i need to pick your brain on some a bgp issue i am having, right now i have ibgp running between r2 and r3, r3 is advertising route 200.0.0.0/30 to r2, and r2 is learning this advertised route, the only problem is when i do "show ip bgp" r2 shows the 200.0.0.0/30 route but it dosent have the ">" symbol indicating it as the best route, i also have ebgp running between r2 and r1, r3 has no problems learning and installing the routes in the table from the ebgp session, what do you think?

when i do a "show ip route" on r2, the 200.0.0.0 network dosent show up via bgp

below are links to my configs

Hi,

Your two network 172 and 67 are being shown on the best route but the network 200 is not being shown. I hope this is the problem what you are trying to share with us. I hope you knew that you have configured those 2 network on loopback and the another one i.e 200 is on vlan ........So, in this case OSPF is helping out the BGP so......just try to check out the Local prefrence and weight so that it will be your valid and best route..........If that's no the issue then dont forget you IP 200 is the highest ip address due to that also....that is not being shown on the Best route......

Thank You
