If I pass the current CCIE written exam 400-101, can I take the new lab exam next year?

Hi, 

If I pass the current CCIE written exam 400-101, can I take the new lab exam next year directly? Or do I have to take the new written exam before I take the new lab exam?

If you pass the current CCIE Routing and Switching Written v5.0 exam before 
February 24, you’ll  be eligible to take the new CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure 
v1.0 lab exam after February 24.
