Incorrect PPPoE payload calculation

                   Hello,

I have a 7606-SIP400 as BRAS and Border together (2-in-1). When I set the ASR1001 as a separate Border, then PPPoE clients are beginning to complain about the hung TCP-sessions.
The investigation showed that when I install ASR, BRAS forms wrong value PPPoE Payload size for TCP ACK packets without TCP Payload. It indicates 2 bytes more, then actulal size is.
I also see that the ASR change the first 2 bytes of Ethernet PAD from "00-00" to "aa-aa".
Whether it's IOS software bug? How can I fix the problem?

Hello,

i have the same idendical problem that lead to many issues. Anyone have a solution/workaround for this?

Thank you in advance

For what is worth, if I enable the tcp header-compression over the PPP link, the issue goes away but the packets are punkt to CPU and the performances are gone.

It's seems that it is a bug of the encapsulation process inside the SIP-400.  If someone have a solution for this will become my hero.

Thank you for any help that anyone can provide.

Its fixed on ASR9900 through CSCwd70826.
