Hi Guys,

i am working in a company that is facing the problem of mpls slowness networking , i was checking some command and faced the trouble input error in the FastEthernet 0/1, this fastEthernet is configured with 8 sub-interface linked in a switch, one of those sub-interface is our mpls set that are connected in our another site, users are complaining slowness to access this site, so my question is this input error may be the problem cause for this issue, what i could check for isolating it and get the solution.

FastEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up

Hi

from your output

3594 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 3594 ignored

input errors are because of ignored packet. Ignored packets are on the router due to traffic overload or faulty interface.

Kindly follow below KB for more information and rate my post.

Hi,

so it means my interface may be overloaded with a lot of subinterface and traffic to be handled, it may be solved if a separate some sub-interface in another fisical interface?

Att,

Don't overlook the overall context, i.e. 3,594 ignored over 131,588,600 packets input, a miniscule percentage.

You may find you might need to do much more analysis to determine the cause.

Hi,

which tools or first aid should i  use to detect this issue?

best regards,

Bruno

3500+ ignore count when viewed with 131Million pkts is insignificant. Ignores ARE NOT causing the slow performance problem you are experiencing. Troubleshooting slowness is very complex, especially in a supportforum.

Are you responsible for the network infrastructure OR for the server infrastructure also?

Please describe the slow performance problem in detail. Include where the end-points are located. Describe the user experience when they say slow.
