Input errors - Ignored

Hi

We are seeing small but incrementing amounts on ignored input errors on our 2821 routers. The are incrementing on both the WAN and LAN interfaces (both are ethernet interfaces). I would like to understand possible causes. The error rate is extrememly small @ approx 0.0003% however as we run HD video over these WANs I would like to understand if these could be video packets getting dropped. Is there a Cisco best practise or accept drop rate for these type of errors?

I read your posting and the ingored errors are usually caused when aport has low or no buffer space available, the packets are not processes and when buffer space is available they should be resent. causes high CPU or LAN broadcast. Have a look at the document link below. HTH
