Hello Guys - I am using a 3560E switch with IOS version 12-2_55_se (Universalk9). Though i am seeing the command "ip accounting" under IP interfaces, "show ip accounting" doesnt show any entries. Also the command reference guide doesnt show the guide for this command
Does IP accounting or IP route cache work in 3560E platform? How can i find the toptalkers or high bandwidh user if my WAN gateway device is Cisco 3560-E
regards/Sairam

Hello,
IP Accounting is apparently not supported on the 3560E.
Check this document, and scroll down to 'Unsupported Interface Commands':

Unsupported Interface Configuration Commands
ip accounting
ip load-sharing [per-packet]
ip mtu bytes
ip ospf dead-interval minimal hello-multiplier multiplier
ip verify
ip unnumbered type number

Thank you. But i am wondering why the platform still has the command allows to me to configure
RTR01(config-if)#ip accounting ?
access-violations Account for IP packets violating access lists on this interface
mac-address Account for MAC addresses seen on this interface
output-packets Account for IP packets output on this interface
precedence Count packets by IP precedence on this interface
RTR01#show ver | in System image
System image file is "flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE3/c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE3.bin"

Hello,
it happens quite frequently that commands are available but don't work, or are unsupported. The reason is usually hardware limitations.

Thank you. If that said, what is the way i can capture the Top Talkers or to know who is using the bandwidth heavily ?
