I'm trying to get a notification sent via SNMP trap when a IP SLA HTTP Monitor has a connection problem.

Is the the correct IOS configuration?

ip sla monitor logging traps

ip sla monitor 500
type http operation get url http://www.cisco.com source-ipaddr 10.7.1.12
timeout 10000

ip sla monitor reaction-configuration 500 react connectionLoss action-type trapOnly

ip sla monitor schedule 500 life forever start-time now

HI man,

im studying all that stuff for some project, and I'm quite sure that ConnectionLoss is what the name truly suggests - a failure of established connection. Unfortunately I didnot perform any CLI test for c.l. to support my response.. So set the trap on timeout violation.

Anyway, I miss there SNMP server config.. (did you really forget to apply?). Refer to 12.4 IOS IP SLA guide, it's there. Regards.
