Hello Guys,

I have already ordered a Cisco ISR 1921/K9.    but as i read on cisco website, it is written that Cisco 1921/K9 only support  (IP SLA Responder) feature.

I dont know actually wat is sla-responder.  but our requirement is we will connect that Router 1921/K9  into 2-ISP links and i want to enable  IP-SLA probes on that router so that it can track  both the routes into those isp links.      so my question is  does  CISCO 1921/K9  have the support for what i need ?

How about  Cisco 1921-SEC/K9 ? please let me know about its security Bundle  does it support  my requirement or how ?

Hi Imran,

K9 or SECK9 doesn't have the IP SLA feature.

IP SLA responder can respond to IP SLA Probes. To configure probes you need Data licence

As Paolo Bevilacqua, mentioned in previous thread, you can enable temporary data licence and order a data licence

Temporary licence will work for 60 days

but on this link it says  19212-SEC/k9  does support all IP SLA feature

also i have currenly a cisco  ISR 2921 with Cisco IOS Software, C2900 Software (C2900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.1(4)M3.        it does support all  IP-SLA features

As per this lnk, it seems , if you h vae UC, Data, or security licnece, you will get most of the IP SLA features.

From the working device, can you check the licence

I dont know why u are asking for my 2921 licences.    My actual question was  does - ISR 1921/K9  support configuratoin of IP SLA probes.    i need to track my isp links connectivity status that is it.  plz any one who has  ISR 1921/K9  or ISR 1921-SECK/9    plz comment

the Universal software image has its command set limited by the Feature licences installed. the IP SLA command is available in the "Advanced IP Services feature license". You may check which licences you have available with the command "sh licence"

The IP SLA requestor function requires the IP Services license but the IP SLA responder function is available within the IP Base license.

So you need IP Services feature license to use this function!
