Hello,
give a look at the following link:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps4077/tsd_products_support_series_home.html
and the following:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps4077/products_configuration_example09186a0080671a8d.shtml
I thought of IPS as just probes but the second example shows the usage of vlan subinterfaces
look also at the forum on security:
http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forumsite=TSWeb&pagename=Cisco%20IPS%204200%20Series%20Sensors&forum=Security&topic=Intrusion%20Prevention%20Systems/IDS&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Ddisplay_messages%26mode%3Dnew%26location%3D.ee6e1f...
hope to help
Giuseppe
