We have the following plateform:
Router: Cisco 2811
IOS: 12.4(3i), advanced security Firmware
We attend to send data from remote sites to a central site via Wimax(VSat) link. we configured tunnels in the router Cisco 2811 to communicate with each site. The data transfer security is critical in our case thus we thought to use the IPsec standard encryption for the tunnels, but we found that some article talk about the performance issue with the IPsec vs the VSAT link.
My question is: could you please confirm that the use of the IPsec with the VSAT link can produce a performence issue. is there any solution to solve this issue. Thanks
