IPv6 Dual Stack question and Tunnel

Folks, imagine my ISP tells me that PE router is ready for "Dual Stack IPv6 implementation".

My CE router is already configured to support dual stack as well.

My question:
In dual stack, I will need to establish a tunnel of some sort right? I mean, usng Dual Stack I still need to plan to do GRE or "automatic tunnel"?

Please clarify since this is not very clear.

Hello,

YES even with dual stack you will still need to configure tunneling for communications between two IPv6 islands..over IPv4 cloud.

Options available in dual stacking mode are :-

1.  Manually configured tunnels [pt to pt]

2.  GRE tunnel [Pt to pt..Can carry CLNS traffic too for IS IS  too..!]

3  Automatic ipv4 compatible tunnels [DEPRECATED..pt to mpt, Cisco recommends using ISATAP tunneling instead]
