Issues with Cisco 2901 and EHWIC-4ESG

Level 1

I am trying to get an EHWIC-4ESG working in a 2901 and am having a couple issues. Everything I've read says that this card is compatible with this router. We've tried 2 of them now from the same source and both have acted the same. Please see below for details. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance?

Hello,

the module should indeed be compatible (you need to run at least 15.1(2)T IP Base). What is the source of these cards, did you get them from Cisco ?

Unfortunately, they we bought used. I just want to make sure we are dealing with a bad card vs and incompatible one. I did just dig up the follow log, but I could not find the reasons for it when I tried to search:

%EHWIC_ERR-3-PLL_LOCK_LOSS: EHWIC IPCORE PLL PLL Failed to LOCK in 0/3/0 ehwic slot

Is this a defective card?

Hello,

sounds like a bad card indeed. If possible, you could try and install 15.1(2)T: IP Base...

Console into the router and reboot.
Post the entire boot-up process.
